Lorena is a bilingual and bi-cultural (English/Spanish) executive coach, leadership development specialist, and resilience trainer, with almost 20 years of experience in the field of international development, focusing on Latin America and the Caribbean. Lorena has coached emerging, mid, and senior-level leaders from international organizations, nonprofits, humanitarian organizations, and the public sector in both the U.S. and Latin America. Organizational clients have included the World bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the U.S. Forest Service, and the City of Los Angeles Department of Health.

Lorena helps her clients become more effective leaders by blending leadership coaching with tools from the positive psychology, resilience, and mindfulness fields. She helps leaders focus on their well-being and to build their resilience skills, enabling them to improve their performance and have a greater impact in the communities and countries in which they work. Lorena uses a strengths-based approach, blending empathy, curiosity, and positivity to create a trusting environment in which her clients can flourish.

She brings specific expertise in curriculum design, capacity building/training, project management, and project design. Lorena is a collaborator, connector, and convener with extensive experience working across sectors and in multi-cultural environments and building relationships with public and private sector stakeholders.

Lorena is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching Program and an Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation. She is certified in various assessments, including Leadership Circle Profile, DISC, EQi 2.0 and the Mile Marker 360 assessment. She also holds certificates in Applied Positive Psychology and in the “Bounce Back Better” Resilience Training Program from the Flourishing Center.
